At the street door

When the lock buzzes, push the door open — no key needed yet.

Inside the building

Lights on, lift to floor 2

Just inside, flick the light switch on your right, then walk on to the lift.

Press “2” — and here's the trick: pull the inner doors closed. It's an old Italian lift; it won't move until they click shut.

Second floor

Find the little “GAS” door

Step out and close the inner lift doors behind you so the lift stays free for the neighbours.

Now look to your right: a small door labelled “GAS”. That's where your keys are waiting.

Open it — the key safe is mounted inside.

Enter the code, open the safe, take the keys. You're almost home.

Last stretch

Two doors — first one opposite the elevator exit, second: first door on the left down the corridor

Use the key to open the main door on this floor. Inside, switch on the light on your left and walk down the corridor.
